What is Botox?

What to Expect from Botox in Denver

Prior to the procedure, your face will be cleaned with a sterile solution. Dr. Mouchantat will ask you to perform a few facial exercises so he can locate the best place to administer the injections.
Because Botox is given via a very small needle, it’s a comfortable treatment. You will be able to resume your usual activities as soon as you leave our office. You can wash your face and apply makeup as normal.
You can expect to experience some mild tenderness or swelling lasting for a few hours following the injections. Occasionally, patients see minor bruising or feel a dull ache around the treated area. These symptoms should resolve naturally within a few days, but medications can be taken in the meantime to relieve discomfort.
The Results
It takes a few days for Botox injections to work, so you will not be able to see the results until 3 to 5 days later. It can take up to two weeks to see the final result. Botox injections are designed to remove wrinkles without affecting facial expression, so your facial expressions will continue to look natural.
Botox results vary from patient to patient, but they generally last for 4-6 months. You can return to our Denver office once the results of your Botox treatment have worn off if you wish to maintain your new look.
